Distancing or Reflection?

Distancing or reflection? We are all walking into the unknown now. If you feel lonely, confused, afraid, worried, it is alright. It also happens to the best ones. Think this way, what can be the worst situation for one athlete than a massive injury in the middle of the season?! Call it bad luck?! Or maybe grace? Tough challenge that makes extraordinary players brake down or to grow into champions.

When I don’t know what to do in unexpected lousy luck occasions, I try to learn from CHAMPIONS! I was lucky to meet and learn from the smart ones in just the right moments.

Last month, brilliant @_alyonka interviewed her brother @igorlarionov_ll, lighting up his truths deeply to the bones. This ice hockey professional player, 21 years young, blew me away with his mature wisdom.

“Igor is prepared for the Unknown. In fact, he’s excited for it, seeing it as an opportunity to create something special.”

I wanted to share with you my primary takeaway that lives in my head as a top motivation during this hardship moments. -> Under challenging times, Igor doesn’t fall into a depression, as most of the other athletes would. Even if he has to stay in bed (read isolated) to recover after surgery, he doesn’t cry for the ring. Instead of feeling down because of his weaknesses or setbacks, Igor would slightly mature his strengths. He watches important games; he examines other players, analyzes their moves and tricks. He learns and reflects. He keeps his mind sharp and body” in the game.” Once he walks back to the ice, he is ready to win. <-

This glorious idea keeps me awake during this self-mirroring period, not giving me a space to feel isolated. It moves me to learn further. Moreover, to smooth my senses to create my best artwork. So, what do you think, Social Isolation and Social Distancing are the proper names now? Please tell me how do you feel about this Covıd19 hardship? Would you please help me to decide if we should name it Social Solidarity or Social Reflection?
